The Jacob Center offers a wide variety of therapeutic
services. We have a supportive
environment and our trained professionals teach people powerful skills to help
them overcome obstacles and reclaim their lives. Our therapists are trained to work with
individuals and families who have depression, anxiety, addiction problems,
suicidal and homicidal ideations, relationship problems, PTSD, domestic
violence cases, and more.
The Jacob Center currently employs four full-time therapists:
Joel Painter – MA, LPC, CACIII, ACS, CRC, RPT-S
Joel offers different types of counseling services to at-risk children and adults. He meets with individuals, couples, families, and groups. He sees our in office clients, as well as private clients. Joel specializes in addiction counseling, as well as child play therapy, and he is trained in EMDR.
Barbara Montoya – MA, LPC, CACIII
Barb is the Clinical Director for The Remington House. She oversees the therapists, meets with individual clients, groups, and families, and organizes the acute treatment unit: ATU as well as individualized outpatient: IOP services. Barb also meets with private clients outside of The Remington House. Barb specializes in addiction counseling, as well as child play therapy, and she is trained in EMDR.
